Enabling Scotland’s 5G Future
Faster, more reliable, wireless 5G networks are already playing their part in the economic and social recovery from the devastation of Covid-19, emphasising a growing reliance on this emerging technology.
As announced in their 5G Strategy, the Scottish Government’s aspiration is for Scotland to be at the forefront of this technological and social revolution, establishing a global lead as a 5G digital nation.
Investment in the establishment of the Scotland 5G Centre as a national resource will accelerate the deployment and adoption of 5G by bringing together entrepreneurs, small businesses, research organisations, corporates and government bodies to foster innovation and collaboration across the business, technology, and telecommunications industries and beyond.
Join us on Thursday 17 September, at a free-to-attend virtual conference from 9.30am – 11am where the Minister for Energy, Connectivity and the Islands, Paul Wheelhouse and Paul Coffey, CEO of the Scotland 5G Centre will discuss the recent PfG announcement and launch the S5GConnect programme – establishing local innovation hubs across Scotland with access to a 5G Testbed, providing focal points for digital learning and the continued development of this technology.
